The Biographical Archive of the Labour Movement, born with the intention of offering the historian, the researcher and the militant news not only about the one hundred known leaders, but also about the thousands of minor exponents, often unknown, who contributed to realising the overall history of the working class, has been a reality for many years now. Continuing to collaborate profitably with the ‘Sergio Motosi’ Institute for the Study of the International Labour Movement (www.ismoi.eu) and the Study of Capitalism Institute (www.isc-studyofcapitalism.org), ABMO has been able, over time, to proceed in its work of historical-prosopographic analysis of the various political currents of the labour movement, now available in the volumes of the series Biografie individuali e collettive del movimento operaio italiano borghese e proletario (Individual and Collective Biographies of the Italian Bourgeois and Proletarian Labour Movement), published by Panterei Editions (www.edizionipantarei.com). A study that has now extended to the international labour movement and which is also opening up to the analysis of all the other social classes oppressed in the course of the different socio-economic formations that have followed one another and that preceded the present capitalist epoch. This is a comprehensive work which can be viewed in detail not only by visiting the Archive but also its Publishing Activities and Other Activities, which illustrate the works published by us and the national and international workshops in which our Institute participated.
